We are in a groove.  We have a ways to go still with getting organized ( I hate the clutter) and house projects are so close- just need a little more help and its on the way!  Allie is doing well.  She has started PT and OT at Fanny Allen and they have been so positive!  They are trying to help her move forward…but she needs more than they can provide.  They don’t have the experience with spinal cord injuries, and know she can make more progress.  Even if her hands don’t come back she can learn to do more for herself and become more independent.

So, we are actively looking into other out patient facilities.  We need to help her in any way we can, she is too young and needs to meet any potential she has.  Meanwhile she continues to do silly little things she didn’t before- that seem so small and yet are so big!  She pulls her mask up and off, she puts her hair behind her ear and she continues to direct us with how best to help her, and remind me what I forget to do .

Our hearts are so full of all your love and support, this journey is long- only 16 weeks in – I say 36 more to go for us really to know where we are at!  More positives- Hats are in and you should be getting yours in the near future and we have more for anyone who needs them.  Also, Allie was interviewed by 7 Days to tell her story and to help Thank You All for all you have done to not only raise Allie but all of us as well!!

I do have 1 more favor to ask.  One of our hero’s , my brother who spent 4 days building her room so that she could come home and have a space ….has suffered a stroke.  He is stable, and is making some huge gains but please keep him in your prayers.  He never stops and is a huge beacon of strength to us all.  A rock who always helps everyone else… it’s our turn to raise him!!

I will post again, when there is more to tell.  Meanwhile, please keep Albert and Allie in your thoughts and prayers- we are Bianchi and Galfetti strong.
